Femi Fani-Kayode meets former head of state Yakubu Gowon, reveals he saved his father's life in the 1966 coup

Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani Kayode was on the same flight with Nigeria's former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon and they posed for a photo together.

FFk shared the photo on Instagram and revealed that Gen. Gowon saved his father from being killed on the night of Jan. 15th 1966 when the coup took place.

He wrote: "It was a pleasure to fly with former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon today. A perfect gentleman. He and the late Captain S.G. Tokida saved my father's life on the night of Jan. 15th 1966 when the junior officers coup took place. I always thank him for that whenever see him. I did so again today!"
