Acting Director of CBN's Currency Operations Department, Pricila Eleje, who disclosed this on Tuesday at the beginning of a nationwide sensitization exercise at Wuse Market, Abuja, said lower denomination bank notes are in short supply.
Member of the Wuse Market Association said that they are happy with the development.
The CBN said it will take its campaign to other markets across the country.
